I'm a woman of contradiction in that I can be cultured and well spoken if I want to, but I am more apt to be earthy, unconventional, and teasing.  

I am - extremely curious...whimsical...animated...a voracious reader & learner...expressive...quirky...genuine...shy...a self-taught computer geek...a dreamer...spirited...a poet and lover of words...an advocate of abused children, women, and animals.

I collect - antiques, Native American & Old West artifacts and art, poetry, books about World War II, & angels & cupids.

I love – being barefoot...grilled steak & prime rib...chocolate stars...Mountain Dew...curling up alone on a rainy day and reading...perfume (especially the scent of lavender, cedar, & rose)...thunderstorms (especially watching a storm coming across Lake Michigan, which is breathtaking)...baking and watching my family devour what I make for them...black and white photography...Victorian décor...castles and anything medieval.

I especially enjoy – people who make me smile & laugh, playful banter & conversation...people who smell really good...exotic accents.

I dislike – shopping (unless it is for art, computers, antiques, or books)...anything with raisins...waiting in line...arrogance...people who aren't genuine...gossip...people who cut me off while driving.

I'm afraid of – bees...of letting people see me cry...speaking in front of crowds...getting lost...my children dying before me.

My faults - I enjoy being alone too much...I'm too shy in large groups...I'm very stubborn with issues I feel strongly about...I'm too protective of my children...I'm impatient...I'm a worrier...I'm easily hurt...I listen to my music too loud.

When I am alone - I watch sad movies so I can "really" cry...I close my eyes and sway to the music...I crank my radio and sing along to "my" music...I eat chocolate chip cookie dough...I rub magazine perfume samples on my wrists.

I like the sound of - a man or woman's throaty laugh...a beautiful singing voice...a puppy's whimper...distant thunder...a powerful engine...a full orchestra...waves crashing on shore...and birds singing in the morning.

I like the smell of - fresh baked bread...cedar...the rain...my lilacs when they are in bloom...floral perfume & woodsy cologne...a baby's soft head...my children when they have played outdoors.

I admire - humility...people of character and integrity...artistic creativity...visionaries...a poetic soul...inner beauty...intelligence...honesty...those who have triumphed over struggle.

I wish – I was proficient in Photoshop...I could play the drums...have a really good singing voice...be a little shorter...not have so many freckles...have a sense of direction (as in north, south, east & west)...wouldn't blush so much.

I quite fancy those who are mischievous, roguish, saucy, authentic, brazen, tender, campy, gentle, avant-garde, nonconformist, compassionate, imaginative, passionate, provocative, ingenious, innovative, cheeky, inspiring, inventive, artistic, coquettish, introspective, bohemian, fanciful, whimsical, silly, deep, sarcastic, intense, bantering, jaunty, sassy, poetic, devilish, rascally, honest, soulful, adventurous, spirited, humble, raucous, animated, gritty, clever, and unpretentious.
